Terms of Service

Last updated: May 18, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using any part of the Cassia platform ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "You" refers to the individual or entity operating a Cassia merchant account.

2. Service description

Cassia is a non-custodial cryptocurrency payment processing platform. We provide software tools to generate deposit addresses, track on-chain payments, and deliver webhook notifications. We do not hold, custody, control, or transmit funds on your behalf. All funds are received directly into wallets controlled by your private keys, which never leave your possession.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use cryptocurrency payment services in your jurisdiction. By registering, you represent that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations where you operate.

4. Fees

Cassia charges a 1% commission on each successfully paid invoice. The commission is deducted from your credit balance. If your balance is negative, future invoice proceeds may be redirected to Cassia treasury addresses until the balance is restored. Current fee details are displayed in your dashboard.

5. Credit line

New accounts receive a small interest-free credit line that allows you to accept payments before your balance covers the commission. The credit line amount is shown in your dashboard. We reserve the right to adjust credit line limits at our discretion.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Wallet security. You are solely responsible for the security of your private keys, seed phrases, and recovery codes. Loss of private keys means permanent loss of access to funds — Cassia cannot recover them.
  • Account security. Keep your login credentials and two-factor authentication codes confidential. Enable 2FA before connecting wallets.
  • Accurate information. Provide accurate account information and notify us promptly of any changes.
  • Compliance. Ensure that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including tax, financial, and export regulations.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use Cassia to:

  • Process payments for illegal goods, services, or activities
  • Facilitate money laundering, fraud, or financial crimes
  • Evade sanctions or export controls
  • Process payments on behalf of third parties without disclosure
  • Abuse the credit line or commission system
  • Attempt to circumvent platform security measures

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension without notice.

8. Blockchain risks

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. Cassia is not responsible for funds sent to incorrect addresses, lost due to network forks, or affected by blockchain congestion, reorganizations, or smart contract bugs. We are also not responsible for fluctuations in cryptocurrency prices.

9. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance or in response to security incidents. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime.

10. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if we detect violations of these Terms, suspicious activity, or legal obligations requiring us to do so. You may close your account at any time from Settings. Closing your account does not affect any outstanding commissions owed.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cassia's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the commissions you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or loss of cryptocurrency.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that defects will be corrected.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email to registered merchants at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
